You might not actually know what a footnote is, so here’s a demonstration.1 Whenever you see that little number at the side of a word or at the end of a sentence, it means that I’ve remembered something else I want to tell you and that something is at the bottom of the page. I am very fond of footnotes, and nobody else ever uses them so I thought my story would have them. Elizabeth wanted it to pop up a lot more than it does, but Calla and I talked her out of it. For now, just pay attention whenever that name pops up.
